The MPNP for Skilled workers is locally driven and based on the needs of Manitoba employers. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program for Skilled Workers selects and nominates applicants who have a strong connection to the province and sufficient skills, education and training, work experience and official language proficiency to make an immediate and ongoing contribution to the Manitoba economy and our community at large.
The Immigration through the MPNP for Skilled Workers is a three-step process. Eligible applicants have to submit an Expression of Interest under MPNP, where their profile will be placed in a pool for up to one year with other eligible candidates. The highest-scoring candidates in the pool will be invited on a regular basis to provide a full application to the MPNP. Following a thorough assessment, the MPNP will nominate successful candidates to make a separate application to the Government of Canada for permanent resident. There are two pathways to Manitoba under the MPNP for Skilled Workers Stream:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba
- Skilled Workers Overseas
